If you are looking to add some new items to your wardrobe, this week is the perfect week to do it.  Sample sales are flooding Postabon this week and some cool NYC shopping events guarantee that this will be the week that my credit card will remember.

Today, April 13, kicks off a sample sale for Elie Tahari.  Now through Saturday, expect 70-80% off original prices.  According to Socially Superlative, pants and skirts will start at $59, shoes and handbags from $79 and jackets start at $99 (8:30 a.m.-7:30 p.m., Tuesday-Friday, 10a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday).  

Wednesday starts the sample sale for Betsey Johnson.  Through Friday, accessories will be 50% off, with clothing marked down 75-80%.  Always miss sample sales because you work late?  Don’t worry - this one runs from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.!

More deals keep on coming for you night owls.  One of the events we’re most excited about this week is Thursday’s Zac Posen for Target Collection
pop-up shop.  Designer Zac Posen has a collection for Target and before the clothing debuts in stores on April 25, New Yorkers will have a chance to shop the new line.  This won’t just be your average pop-up shop though - rather, it is a shopping party.  Starting at 11 p.m. on the 15th, shop for your designer clothes at a discount while listening to live bands and DJs.  Hurry though - the party lasts only until 11 p.m. Friday night, or when the collection runs out, whichever comes first.  And if the events of Target’s Liberty of London pop-up shop is any inclination, this collection may run out quickly.  Last month, Target closed its pop-up shop two days early because everything sold out.

Rest up from Thursday’s events, because Friday afternoon is the start of Rock and Republic Warehouse Sale.  Beginning at 4 p.m., enjoy denim, mens, womens, kids and accessories for 50-80% off.  According to Mizhattan, Rock and Republic has filed for bankruptcy so there may be deep discounts.  Sale ends on Sunday (4 p.m.-9 p.m. Fri, 9a.m.-7 p.m. Sat-Sun).
