This post is for all you guys out there.  You finally have the nerve to ask a girl out, and now when it actually comes down to suggesting a date idea, the last thing you want to do is apply for a small loan at your local bank so you can afford a night out.  If you want to look like Prince Charming without looking cheap, here are some spots where you may want to take that special girl.

For the girl that insists on just meeting for drinks:  The Palm has an old-school steakhouse charm, and your lucky lady will think you’re really dropping the big bucks on her once you suggest getting appetizers too.  Little does she know that between 5 -7 pm and 9 pm - close, appetizers are only $3.50.  Order her an assortment of crab cakes, kobe beef sliders and more, without spending more than $20 on food. 

For the girl that constantly talks about how cultured she is:  You know the girl we’re talking about - the one who doesn’t stop talking about how much junior year abroad changed her life.  Impress her by suggesting that you check out The New Museum, a museum filled with artwork using new media from both American and international artists.  Plan your date for Thursday night, around 7 - simply because admission is free  from 7-9 pm.

For the girl that reminds you she’s from the south:  Asked a girl out with a Southern twang?  Consider taking her to Clinton St. Baking Company for dinner on a Wednesday night.  Chances are she’ll love the idea of eating chicken and waffles, which is a Wednesday night special at this restaurant.  Better yet, the meal comes with a cold bottle of Rogue Chipotle Ale, so the meal is only setting you back $20.
