Friday marks the kickoff to the World Cup. Whether you are a die-hard futbol fan, like cheering on team USA or just enjoy snagging good bar specials, the World Cup is an event not to be missed.  Wondering what bar is best for you to attend?

If looking to snag free food: Head to Virgil’s to receive complimentary hush puppies!  These tasty snacks will be served during every 2:30pm game at the bar.  Not a hush puppies fan?  Visit Rare in Chelsea and receive all you can eat fried pickles. 

If looking to scream USA! USA! USA!: Cheer loudly for the USA at Cabrito.  For every goal the US scores, you’ll receive a free shot. 

If looking for Happy Hour Specials all day long: Consider visiting Fatty Crab!  Fatty Crab will be offering Happy Hour food and drink specials during the games.  Enjoy $5 steamed buns and sliders and $7 signature cocktails.

If looking to experience other cultures: Head to Brick Lane Curry House to cheer on the UK! The restaurant will be offering British inspired cocktails including Black and Tans, Snake Bites and Irish Car Bombs for $8.  In addition, if you buy two Taj Mahals or Kingfishers, you’ll get the third for free from 3-6pm.  If shots are more your thing, consider checking out Southern Hospitality’s World Cup Kickoff Party on Thursday the 10th.  For $25, you’ll have a passport and get to try 6 different themed shots.  Kick back and take an Italian ice shot, German chocolate cake shot and more.  You’ll also be able to get $3 drafts and $6 frozen and well drinks throughout the World Cup at Southern Hospitality.
